About Me

My name is Ryan Williamson, and I am an incoming assistant professor of political science at the University of Wyoming as well as a governance fellow at R Street Institute. Prior to this, I was an APSA Congressional Fellow in the U.S. Senate Committee on Rules and Administration. I received my Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Georgia and my undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
My areas of expertise include electoral politics, electoral institutions, election administration, and legislative procedure. My research on these topics includes published work in the Journal of Politics, Political Research Quarterly, Electoral Studies, State Politics and Policy Quarterly, Election Law Journal, and various other outlets.
